How we track deals
A product’s current deal is its 2026 row, and only when the status is live and the end date is empty or still ahead at build time. Otherwise the page says the 2026 offer is not live yet, or that it has ended. Past years stay in the history table with the year on the row.
Verification
- Reported. The offer was recorded from a published source. It is not labeled vendor-confirmed.
- Reported for a year. Older rows tagged reported-2024 stay attached to that year. They are not treated as confirmed 2026 deals.
- Unconfirmed. These rows are omitted everywhere on the site.
- Vendor confirmed. Used when a 2026 row is explicitly marked that way. The deal box says “Vendor confirmed”.
Verified badge
When a 2026 row shows “Verified on” followed by a date, a person confirmed the offer against the linked source on that date. Rows without the badge have not been through that check yet. The badge never changes whether a deal is marked live.
What we do not do
- We do not invent a discount, price, date, rating, or coupon when the field is blank.
- We do not compute a sale price from a percentage.
- We do not link to other deal roundups. Source notes stay in the database and off the page.
- “Usually starts around” is calculated only from past rows that have a start date. If none exist, the line is “Typically runs Black Friday week”.
Update cadence
Live and expired states are decided when the site is built. A daily rebuild is required once 2026 deals start, so an offer whose end date has passed does not stay on the live list. Adding a 2026 row to the deals file and rebuilding is enough to switch that product to the live layout. See the project README for the exact fields.
